The Stamford Hotel, Stamford

I had a mixed experience at this hotel. The rooms were large and cool, ready after the first night, but they were quite dated with worn furniture, not meeting my expectations for the price. The service was top-notch, from booking connecting rooms to extending check-out until 4 pm, and the staff across the board were friendly and accommodating. The location was perfect, not too far from downtown, but it was challenging to find and felt unsafe due to strangers on a dark, unlit street pretending to be valets. The dining options were varied and plentiful, although some items were disappointing, and the facilities were adequate.
